Thanks for reminding me about point 3. I always feel like I should be going to every one of these I can, but when I do, while I certainly come away excited, I also come away depressed and a bit frustrated at how little God seems to be accomplishing in my ministry compared to the guys on stage.

I know, I know, I shouldn’t be comparing, but I still do it.

And you better create a website and ministry with those conference names you invented, or someone will steal them! Ha ha.

Did you read that the CEO of Starbuck’s just stepped down?

And they advertised on television this year for the first time in their history.

And they announced they’re going to close some of their underperforming stores.

And I wouldn’t buy my special coffees at McDonald’s because I’d be too tempted to buy a breakfast burrito, too. But I did read last year that McD’s coffee beat out Starbuck’s in a blind taste test.

Love Caribou - and yes, hurray for any coffeehouse that offers free Wi-Fi.

Curious to see what yours are?

Mine, for better or worse, were pretty accurate. They were:

Self Assurance
Strategic
Activator
Command
Ideation

There are many great insights off of each of these but one of my favorite is the activator section in which it says, “To avoid conflict later, ensure that your manager judges you on measurable outcomes rather than your process. Your process is not always pretty.” This is more helpful for my wife since I don’t have a manager.

At first glance I thought number 5 read cleaning up my fiance which I thought was a little cold and that you were married. After further review I recognized the misread and agree with the new year effort of trying to tackle this as well.

I am very curious about the Kindle also but I want to wait for the 2.0 version. I agree most of the problems will be worked out by then but the new toy habit is a strong one to fight. I love the Shelfari idea. I added one to my blog. Keep up the good fight and know we are praying for you.

I don’t know. I don’t worry about someone stealing my book. You lose this thing and you are out a couple hundred dollars. And I wonder how long they last before you have to replace it. And honestly, I like thumbing through books.
